Our client is seeking to recruit a CNC Turner Setter/Operator. The successful candidate will be working in a well organised and state of the art machine shop producing components for the aerospace & automotive sectors
Duration: Permanent OR Temp Perm
Hourly Rate: GBP10.98 - GBP12.03ph
Hours of Work:Monday - Thursday 8 - 5 & Friday 8 - 12 OT available
The work will involve machining small sized components to high tolerances. Batches will range from small to medium. The majority of jobs will be repeat batches therefore the programmes will be up loaded and tooling set to pre-specified settings. In instances of new components there will be a requirement to check and edit programs against drawings to ensure the final product meets the clients specification. First off and mid batch inspection (dimensional) will be required as part of the quality requirements
THE ROLE
The position of CNC Turner Setter/Operator will consist of the following tasks and duties;
•Editing, Setting & Operating CNC Sliding Head & Fixed Head Lathes
•Machining small components with a small to medium batch size
•Working to high tolerances
•Producing high quality components for the aerospace and automotive industries
THE CANDIDATE
To be considered for the CNC Turner Setter/Operator, you will ideally be;
•CNC Sliding Head Setting experience is desirable
•A background in machining small components
•Will have worked to high tolerances
•Will have setting experience with multi axis and multi spindles CNC lathes
The position could be a straight to permanent position which would mean an annual salary of between GBP21,696.48 / GBP23,771.28 per annum.
