About the Company:
Our client is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Environmental Technician.
Reporting to the Southern Regional Manager, the Environmental Technician will facilitate planning, procurement, supervision, data collection and storage in relation to Contaminated Land work including monitoring and remediation works.
Employed on a full-time basis with the need to satisfy overtime requirements and the need to regularly stay away from home overnight, key tasks and accountabilities are as follows:
Environmental Technician Responsibilities:
Undertaking field monitoring works including measurement and sampling in accordance with our clients supplied procedures, health and safety and quality documents;
Installation and commissioning of in-situ remediation equipment including pumps and oil water separators;
Assisting with management of monitoring programme, monitoring equipment, equipment maintenance and stock;
Provision of accurate and timely information to line management;
Supporting team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices at all levels;
Undertaking relevant training in order to fulfil the role;
Updating datasheets on the company's IT systems for project managers to access following data collection;
Assisting the team with basic phase I and II factual report writing as part of ongoing professional development.
Attending team meetings as required.
Environmental Technician Requirements:
Applicants should have a full clean UK driving licence.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate consistently high levels of safety, technical robustness and organisation.
A teamwork ethic is essential and the provision of support to other team members will be required on an ongoing basis.
