With an increasing number of long-term contracts with UK utility companies, covering all aspects of pressure control, network monitoring and analysis, leakage reduction and data provision. Our clients projects rely on accurate and efficient installation and maintenance of Advanced Pressure Control Systems from our Field Engineers.
Tens of thousands of Remote Data Loggers are currently installed on District and Commercial Water, Gas and Electricity meters nationwide, transmitting data daily via GSM networks. As a total data solution provider, installation and maintenance of this equipment is fundamental to their business.
Instrumentation Technician Responsibilities
Working with the office support staff you will follow a planned schedule to complete a number of jobs over the course of the day.
Lone working at remote locations throughout the UK in all weather conditions involves:
Installation and configuration of hand held electronic data collection, logging and recording equipment
Achieving Service Level Agreements
Self-management of workload
Daily Activities
Customer/client communication and interaction either verbally or written as you visit approximately 10+ sites a day (dependent on contract/location)
Driving from site to site which can be greater than 2 hours each day
Using handheld tools including drills and gas monitors
Lifting, carrying and moving equipment
Entry into confined spaces
Person Specification
We are looking for self-motivated, reliable and punctual individuals to join their team. The successful candidate will have:
Good communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong computer skills
Ability to work as a team & learn new skills
Flexibility to accommodate business needs
Electronics / engineering experience or knowledge of water networks is an advantage
Full driving licence essential
