SmartRail World are a dynamic digital media and events business covering two different brands within the transport industry. SmartRail World is the primary business with an 9-year track record of excellence in the rail industry having held events in Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East. Their newest brand is Transport Security World which covers safety and security in all sectors of transport. Have recently been acquired by DVV Media Group, What does the company do?

Our client are a dynamic digital media and events business covering two different brands within the transport industry. They come with a 9-year track record of excellence in the rail industry having held events in Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East. Having recently been acquired by an independent media agency they are now perfectly positioned to continue their growth and expansion into new areas.

Day-to-day activities will include:
  • Taking candidate ownership to help sell across a number of conferences and exhibitions
  • 2 hours outbound calling per day.
  • Pitching to decision makers (DMs)/ influencers
  • Professional level of written correspondence.
  • Maintain a repeat business ratio of 50% on delegates
  • We expect high levels organization and day-to-day planning; giving great attention to managing pipelines, contact management.
  • Demonstrating maturity about your business, being fully accountable for your activities and results.
  • The role will require selling globally, with high volumes of sales from Europe and the US. Flexibility and structuring your core sales times are crucial to success
The ideal candidate's personality and qualifications:
  • Degree educated
  • Passion to work in digital / B2B media sales (preferably exhibition / conference sales)
  • Basic understanding of the sales process.
  • Excellent phone manner,
  • Strong work ethic,
  • Desire to work as part of a team (They are a small team of around 10 and one of their USPs is the ability to work together to deliver an excellent customer experience),
  • Hungry for money and success (as a small business those who succeed have plenty of room to grow)
