Marketing Communications Manager for the Defra Property Flood Resilience Roundtable

Full time (35 hours) but willing to consider part time for correct candidate

Full time, 12-month contact

The Role:

To develop and deliver effective integrated marketing and communications across on and offline channels on behalf of the Defra Property Flood Resilience Roundtable. Business in the Community, through its Business Emergency Resilience Group campaign, has provided both a leading and supportive role on the Roundtable since it was formed in 2016, in particular relating to community innovation projects, communications and behaviour change, and insurance work areas. This role will drive awareness, understanding, consideration and engagement with all flooding stakeholders about the Defra Property Flood Resilience Roundtable's work, in particular the Code of Practice.

Experience:

The Marketing Communications Manager will take responsibility for managing the development of marketing and communication requirements for the Defra Property Flood Resilience Roundtable from briefing through to implementation and measurement.

  • Proven track record of delivering successful marketing and communications campaigns from briefing through to delivery and measurement
  • Demonstrable evidence of copywriting and designing communication outputs across a variety of channels
  • Experience of managing a number of communication requirements concurrently for a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of relationship building with and influencing senior stakeholders

The role will involve close collaboration with colleagues in the Business Emergency Resilience Group campaign, Communications team as well as key stakeholders in the flooding sector to help maintain an optimised communication plan, contact map and briefing process.

The Goal:

To actively promote the work that the Defra Property Flood Resilience Roundtable so that all property building work is carried out minimises the impact of water/flood damage, in order to better protect UK homes and businesses against flooding.
