Portfolio Analyst - Global Real Estate - London
The Role
Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join our Global Real Estate business. You will play a key role in the business planning and strategy formation for our UK and European real estate funds. The analyst is expected to own the financial analysis of individual transactions and determine its impact on portfolio and fund strategy. The role will also be expected to support new business and product development initiatives across UK and Europe.

The Role
Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join our Global Real Estate business. You will play a key role in the business planning and strategy formation for our UK and European real estate funds. The analyst is expected to own the financial analysis of individual transactions and determine its impact on portfolio and fund strategy. The role will also be expected to support new business and product development initiatives across UK and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Fund management team to set strategic fund priorities
- Undertake financial analysis of individual acquisitions, sales and portfolio analysis
- Analyse historic and forecast performance of designated portfolio/s and make strategic recommendations to the Fund Management, Asset Management and Transaction teams
- Lead and develop Portfolio reviews to drive better understanding of portfolio risk and performance drivers
- Producing appropriate scenario analysis to ensure that asset and portfolio risks are fully considered and understood
- Create and update financial models, where needed.
- Proactively engage with the wider Aviva Investors business to drive improvements in operational processes and systems
- Supporting new product development with in-depth financial analysis
Requirements
Essential
- Economic or finance related degree
- Relevant knowledge of UK and European real estate markets
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team
- Advanced Financial modelling skills
- Analytical thinker
- Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Advanced Excel skills
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to improve

- IMC
- Track record in analysis of real estate investments
