Electroplater / Metal Finishing Technician
Our Client is a well established engineering organisation who due to a period of extended growth are looking to recruit an electroplater to join their existing team.
The main purpose of the role to work as part of the Electroplating team undertake masking, blasting and electroplating tasks on a wide variety of metallic components, in accordance with process specification requirements.
Main Duties:
• Complete electroplating processes (component stripping and plating) to exacting quality standards and tight time-frames, to include reading and interpretation of relevant documentation, full process compliance and the safe handling of chemicals.
• Carry out visual inspections and achieve accurate plating thicknesses
• Maintain and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
• Ensure strict compliance and implementation of all safety standards.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with company procedures.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ensure strict compliance, implementation and maintain operating standard of 5S.
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Ability to interpret and follow in detail compliance manuals.
• An ability to work to tight deadlines is essential, whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work well in multidiscipline/cross-functional teams.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel) (desirable)
• Customer focused and able to build and maintain robust customer relationships.
• Strong analytical, administrative and organisation skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Capable of communicating accurate and concise information at all levels.
• Strong communicator (written and verbal).
• Well organised and highly self-motivated, must be willing to participate in self-development opportunities and training.
Candidates with a Chemistry GCSE or recognised certification along with relevant electroplating experience will be given preference.
