Job Title: Team Leader - Manufacturing
As the Team Leader of Manufacturing you will control at shop floor level all activities relating to the effective operation of a defined zone of employees to ensure all activities are on time and to standard. You will also be expected to support, lead and coordinate the zone team to be proactive in anticipating needs and exceeding business expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate visible leadership at all time by actively observing operator performance.
* Effectively communicate with team and lead the daily meetings.
* Support fellow zone members through active listening and coaching, respect others and share and celebrate success within the zone and beyond.
* Represent the zone and escalate any relevant issues to the weekly meeting.
* Share best practice and improvement within the zone and where possible between the zones.
* Implement and maintain the 6S process within the zone to ensure that it's in accordance with the current standard.
* Involvement in review and update of risk assessments for the zone
* Stand in for next level management when required.
* Take prompt action to resolve issues/problems when they are presented
* Facilitate the formation of the problem-solving groups and play an active part to adequately solve the problem in conjunction with other stakeholders.
* Ensure that all team members are following the zone's standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
* 2 years' experience of leading, motivating and developing a team is desired.
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
* A good understanding of the manufacturing process and best practice
* Capability to lead and motivate a team
* Must be able to work with detailed information in a logical and organised way
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral
* Confident with working on own initiative
* Excellent IT literacy, being a competent user of MS office
* Excellent time management skills
