Our client has implemented a completely new CNC management team with a head of manufacturing and recently appointed Production Manager leading the team. D|ue to expansion Direct Appointments is recruiting a number of CNC Millers/Setters/Operators for their client based near North Bristol/Gloucester.
Responsibilities and Duties of the CNC Miller/Setter/Operator:
As CNC Miller you will have the responsibility of:
* Setting up, and operating of CNC controlled VMC machines using appropriate speed/feeds to produce parts correctly to drawing.
* Setting & operating effectively Haas VF5, VF6 and UMC 750 multi axis machines.
* Accurate measurement using precision measuring equipment.
* Familiar with the all types of cutting tools.
* Continually making attempts to improve productivity and work methods.
* Experienced in cutting a wide range of exotic materials.
* Ensuring relevant documentation is complete.
* Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and faults reported immediately.
* Ensuring safety practices are carried out at all times.
Qualifications and Skills for the CNC Miller/Setter/Operator
Skills and experience required for this position:
* Proven track record of CNC Milling experience essential.
* Experienced setting/operating of multiple axis machines, including 5 axis.
* CAD/CAM experience would be very beneficial.
* Capable of reading engineering drawings.
* Ability to work on own initiative, and as part of a team.
* Ability to prioritize work where required.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Must be computer literate.
* Day or night shift
* Day Shift (Monday - Friday) - with an early finish on a Friday; or
* Night Shift (Monday - Thursday 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm early finish on a Friday).
