Spring Technology are working in partnership with a market leading organisation to recruit an established Quality Engineer with experience of supplier performance management.

The Company
You will be joining a FTSE 250 company with a global presence that is recognised as an industry leader. As a Quality Engineer you will be supporting the Quality Manager to ensure compliance of 100+ suppliers.

The Role
*Supplier performance analysis and management (100+ suppliers)
*Leading and organising formal Quality Improvement Programs with suppliers
*Conducting audits both internally and externally to assess suppliers against our clients requirements
*Utilising the complaint system to record issues and assess supplier performance
*Driving improvement throughout the supply base to meet business directives
*Collate and monitor the costs of supplier quality issues
*Monitor and reduce the quantity of bonded stock due to quality issues
*Communication of supplier issues to quality, production and purchasing
*Review and management of supplier changes
*Supporting the supplier sourcing
*Supporting APQP/PPAP/PSW activities
*Ensure work is completed in a timely manner to meet all Customers and Quality Manager's required target dates.

The Requirements
*Industry related Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
*Working knowledge & experience of APQP/PPAP/PSW
*Problem solving tools and techniques, eg 8D methodology, 5Y etc., Six Sigma
*Disciplined, committed and flexible approach
*Using numerical and analytical skills
*Drive for continuous improvement
*Good verbal & written communication
*Excellent attention to detail
*Experience of working to Quality Standards
*Experience of working within a factory environment
