Scientist
Are you a Scientist who has either a PhD or Degree in Physics, Physical Chemistry or a similar discipline? Do you have experience with experimental design in academic or industrial environment? Would you like to work for a leader in scientific and engineering technology, developing state of the art products designed to protect the general public? Very exciting work! If so, our client is looking for a number of Scientists on a permanent basis to join their team.
THE SALARY/RATE/PACKAGE/BENEFITS
As a Scientist you will be entitled to:
* Competitive Salary
* Annual Company bonus scheme - 10% on top of annual salary
* Company pension scheme
* Opportunity to progress
* Flexible working hours
* Lunch time finish on Fridays
THE CANDIDATE
As a Scientist, you must have:
* Degree in Physics, Physical Chemistry or similar discipline
* Experience in experimental design in academic / industrial environment
* Holding a PhD is a great advantage
* Previous practical experience with mass spectrometry, ion mobility spectrometry, microscopy, X-Ray or similar technologies could be an asset
* Excellent data management and analytical skills
* Competent in Microsoft Office
* Clear and critical thinker
* Good presentation skills
* Team player attitude
THE ROLE
As a Scientist, you will be responsible for:
* Provide scientific input to the design, build and testing of experimental equipment
* Plan and conduct original research for the purposes of design and performance enhancement
* Critically appraise experimental data and theory and provide guidance based on interpretation of data
* Identify gaps and propose additional work
* Contribute to project planning and review activities
* Support scientific aspects of products throughout their lifecycle
