POSITION PURPOSE
To assist the Director of Finance in the day to day running of the Finance team including deputizing in the absence of the Director of Finance

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Support the Director of Finance with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts; establish or recommend to management major economic objectives and policies for Hotel.
* Authorise and check account coding on invoices and to ensure that correct backup is attached to the invoices
* Balance and update invoice and payment journals, post all prepaid invoices with the monthly distributions and check monthly accrual
* Ensure that Purchase ledger and General ledger are in balance for month end
* Process and transmit the monthly BACS payment
* Full working knowledge of the Income Audit, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, General Cashier & Payroll clerk roles and assist as required.
* To manage month end closing processes, reconcile the Balance Sheet monthly and produce the Payroll analysis monthly.
* Assist Director of Finance with yearend close and forecasting documentation as required

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
* Must be eligible to live and work within the UK
* Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as the head of the department. There is direct supervision of 5 team members.
* Must be able to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
* Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Bachelor degree required in relevant subject or equivalent required
* 3 years' experience in a similar role within Hospitality is essential.
