Finisher / Labourer

Total Industrial Engraving is looking for a labourer/finisher. We specialise in laser engraving but also have an element of mechanical/rotary engraving work.

Your job will be to assist the engravers to ensure lead times are met and to ensure customer service is maintained. It will include but not be limited to the below:

• Finishing labels and other items including cleaning the labels, applying self/adhesive backing and bevelling the edges
• Quality checking jobs and ensuring they match the orders
• Running the engraving machines on some jobs
• Dispatching orders and getting jobs ready for posting/courier
• Cleaning and ensuring the workspace is kept tidy

This job is for 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 16.30 with a 30 minute unpaid break for lunch, this could be part time for the successful candidate.

We will meet the national minimum wage and pay our staff monthly on 15^th of each month. A permanent contract will be issued upon successful completion of a 3 month trial.

Person Specification

The following attributes are required for this role:

The applicant must be punctual and reliable

The applicant should have a GCSE level or equivalent qualification for English Language and a good level of maths knowledge.

The applicant must have prior experience of using a PC, ideally including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

The applicant will have some dealings with customers, both over the telephone and on a face to face basis so some prior experience of customer service would be beneficial.
