Position 1 – Full Time – Term Time Only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £14088.36 per annum
Position 2 – 20 hours per week Monday to Friday – Term Time Only
Hours: 20 hours per week (days and times to be agreed)
Salary: £7524.46 per annum
We are looking to recruit two experienced Youth Support Workers to join our team of staff and volunteers delivering daytime services citywide in Plymouth by engaging young people at risk of becoming NEET or entering the Youth Justice System. We also provide a youth club on Friday evenings.
You will support young people in making informed choices regarding their lives and their participation within their local community. We welcome applications from candidates that are interested in supporting young people, realising their potential and recognising they have choice. You would be committed and dedicated to working to promote the health and wellbeing of young people, with a great sense of humour, unrelenting warmth and an abundance of energy.
Able to develop positive relationships with young people
Experience of engaging with vulnerable young people
Good standard of education
Comprehensive reporting skills
Excellent IT skills
Confident in communicating with various organisations and members of the public
Experience of multi-agency partnership working
Experience of assessments, reviews and activity programming
Experience of liaison and partnership working with other agencies
Able to set and maintain professional boundaries
Experience of providing support to parents, carers and professionals
Excellent communication skills
Able to work independently and within a team
Experience of design, delivery and evaluation of activity programmes
Clean driving licence
