As a Business Development Consultant you will be responsible for creating opportunities to sell a range of services aimed at assisting companies in the South West of England, encompassing Swindon, Gloucester and Bristol to improve their business efficiencies and reach their business objectives.
These solutions can range from IT Services, Managed Print Services, Visual Communications, Process Optimisation and Capture Workflow.
You will be working closely with internal Consultants with expertise in each of these areas, so this role is all about networking and creating the opportunity through a consultative approach with clients and going to joint meetings with the specialist. Dealing with order values of GBP10k to GBP400k with good profit levels, the bonus potential at 35% of GP is huge. There will be some support in generating leads for new business, but this role is really going to suit the person who wants accountability of growing the business themselves.
As a Business Development Consultant you will need field sales experience and will have sold a Business based solution in the past. This could be in Technology, Software or Telecommunications. Key aspects are;
- The confidence to speak at a range of Director levels about a solution
- Fantastic Business networking skills
- The ability to find and generate new business whether this is electronically, through the phone or through attending networking meetings
- The ability to open business, consult, negotiate and close
- A hard working attitude
It is likely that you will be living in Bristol, Newport, Chepstow, Gloucester or Swindon with the ability to travel regularly into the Cardiff office.
A basic salary of between GBP30k and GBP35k
