Homes England is the Government's housing accelerator, with the appetite, influence, expertise and resources to drive positive market change and meet the Government's ambition to deliver 300,000 new homes a year.

We are using our land, money, power and influence to increase the pace, scale and quality of new homes - accelerating delivery in areas of greatest demand and helping create great places to live. Within the next few years, we will have invested over GBP27 billion across our programmes.

We invest mostly in building new homes, but also in creating employment floor space and other community facilities, in cities, towns and villages across the country. The homes we fund include affordable homes for rent and sale, and homes for rent or sale at market prices. Our investment helps build around half of all new homes built in England each year. It also helps increase local growth by creating jobs and supporting businesses.
We own public land, which we sell to house builders and others. This is one of the ways in which we overcome barriers to development and help increase the speed with which house builders can build new homes.

This is an incredibly exciting role for a thought leader who will be responsible for service design for the whole organisation. This role will involve developing the vision and approach as well as driving a transformation programme which will enable the business to maintain pace and deliver better outcomes.

This is an ambitious programme of work with significant budget which is critical in the expansion and increased delivery of Homes England.

This role will also represent the organisation in the external transformation and service design communities, providing a sector wide leadership voice for transformation of the housing sector in England and the way that services are delivered in the sector.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of leading transformational programmes within a complex, fast paced and ambiguous environment with gravitas at a senior level.

Commercial credibility will be key, as well as a track record of developing and maintaining senior collaborative relationships and the ability to lead high performing teams.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to play a key role alongside the CEO to challenge the status quo and adopt a pragmatic approach to transform the organisation.

All appointments are on Homes England terms and conditions. Full time hours for this post are 35 hours per week; alternative flexible working arrangements would be considered.
