Who we are looking forOpportunity for a 12 month fixed term contract as an Insolvency Senior Associate to join the Leeds Insolvency Management Team ("IMT").

The IMT is part of the Business Recovery Services (BRS) business. This role will primarily be office-based at Central Square, 29 Wellington Street, Leeds and will involve supporting managers and senior managers in corporate insolvency portfolio management, setting strategies for and driving case progression, and achieving statutory and regulatory compliance.

About the roleWorking in the IMT is essential experience for someone seeking to further his or her career in corporate insolvency. The department has played a major role in many of the major insolvencies in the last decade and is currently actively involved with a range of different and in some instances high profile cases. The role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and broaden an individual's experience and skills.

The ideal candidate will already have strong experience of working on corporate insolvency cases. They will show initiative, good attention to detail, be proactive, be able to identify risk issues and have excellent numeracy, communication and interpersonal skills. As the position will entail the preparation of financial data, an accountancy qualification will be beneficial. The successful candidate will act also as a role model for associates, delegate tasks and provide on the job coaching as needed.

The successful candidate would be assigned to one of the three teams forming the Leeds IMT and will take responsibility for certain aspects of corporate insolvency cases and supporting case managers and senior managers in achieving 100% compliance with legislation, professional regulations and internal procedures.

The work is full time and primarily office-based, although the successful candidate may need to attend external meetings, residential training courses and trading sites at short notice. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility in terms of working extra hours and staying away will be required.

There will also be opportunities to become involved in achieving the objectives of the wider department, such as having an involvement in other projects and training initiatives.
