DBR (London) Limited is a highly specialised conservation contractor carrying out the repair and maintenance of historic buildings in London and the South East of England with Offices in London and Sussex.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed administrative member of staff to undertake the role of project support officer. The role is to cover a diverse range of duties to support the DBR team at the Westminster Palace.

Successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, previously known as a CRB check.

About you

Previous knowledge of how construction/refurbishment/conservation projects are delivered is essential.

Excellent organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of working within and supporting a fast moving team to ensure that the team objectives are delivered to time, budget and agreed quality standards. Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

Previous experience in handling confidential personal information.

Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining effective relationships at a variety of levels, including responding to needs diplomatically and managing expectations.

Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, both orally and in writing, and adapting communication style to meet the needs of the audience - including explaining technical issues to a lay audience.

Experience with a wide range of office and project management IT (Microsoft suite including SharePoint, project programming etc.) Experience of NEC Contract, ViewPoint and Zutec is desirable.

Flexibility willingness to take on varied duties and tasks and on occasion work outside of standard office hours.

Knowledge in heritage is desirable.

Qualifications

A project management or business studies qualification or relevant minimum 2 years' experience in project management support.

Hours: Full time. Office hours from 8am to 5.30pm.

Contract: Fixed term contract for 1 year.
