Casual Ushers required at the Sue Townsend Theatre.
Varied hours dependant on events.
Leicester College is looking to recruit Casual Ushers and bar staff to work at the Sue Townsend Theatre for external hires and performances. You will work alongside the Technical staff and the Theatre and Events Programming Manager in supporting the organisation and running of shows and performances as and when required.
Working times will vary depending on the external booked event. It is envisaged that the majority of the events will take place in the evenings and weekends with occasional day time events.
We are looking for reliable candidates with good customer service skills.
The successful candidates will be well presented with good verbal, written and numerical skills.
Cash handling and bar experience will be an advantage.
A range of Front of House duties will include:
Greeting members of the public, checking tickets and directing the public.
Dealing with customer questions and enquiries.
Ensuring the reception area and auditorium is clean and presentable.
Alerting the Theatre and Events Programming Manager of any issues and potential hazards.
Being present in the auditorium during the shows.
Staffing the refreshment table.
Some light cleaning duties as and when required.
Ensure the health and safety procedures are followed especially in the event of an emergency.
Working behind the bar (experience permitting)
