Here at Coleg Cambria, we are looking for a self-confident, creative and imaginative individual to join us as Lecturer in Adult Basic Education.

Displaying energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment, you will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students’ work, liaise with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. Providing educational guidance, support and counselling for all students, you will liaise with tutors from other business areas with regard to resources, curriculum development, student reports and other related matters, and complete and produce documentation such as registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation and student reports.

We’re looking for an individual who is qualified to Degree level (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) in a relevant specialist subject area and who holds a teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE or City & Guilds 7407. Able to prepare effective written and visual teaching materials, you will be able to identify, interpret and apply specific knowledge to practice and be a dedicated team player who can establish effective working relationships.

With an awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, you will have knowledge of a broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment and demonstrate and understanding of current developments within your own specialist area. You should be open and responsive to the needs of others and be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new ideas.

The ability to speak fluent Welsh is desirable.

Byddwch yn gwybod am bwysigrwydd safonau ansawdd mewn addysgu. Byddwch hefyd yn gwybod am yr ystod eang o anghenion dysgu a sut i gynorthwyo gyda’r anghenion hynny mewn amgylchedd dysgu. Byddwch yn gallu dangos eich bod yn deall datblygiadau cyfredol yn eich maes arbenigol chi eich hun.   Dylech fod yn agored ac yn ymatebol i anghenion pobl eraill ac yn gallu addasu'n gyflym i amgylchiadau newidiol a syniadau newydd.

Byddai’n ddymunol petaech yn gallu siarad Cymraeg yn rhugl.
