L3 Childcare Practitioner - Maternity Leave Cover

Stapleford, Nottingham

We are seeking an experienced L3 practitioner to provide maternity leave cover starting as soon as possible.
This is a temporary position which may lead to a permanent position within our setting. A great opportunity to gain a wealth of experience from our diverse setting.

As a Childcare Practitioner you will have duty of care for all children placed in your care to safeguard and promote the child’s welfare.

Good communication skills are essential, this involves listening, questioning, understanding and responding to what is being communicated by children, young people and those caring for them. A good knowledge of child development is essential to ensure that all of the children's individual needs are fully met.

You will be responsible for the planning of the activities to create and develop a stimulating and engaging environment in order to provide a high level of quality childcare whilst maintaining a professional, positive and friendly environment for both children and staff. This involves working closely with their line manager, and carers to ensure the children's needs are met.

The role will be in our 2-3's room.

Hours of work will be:

Wed - 0730 to 1630
Thu - 0730 to 1630
Fri - 0730 to 1630

 You need:

  • Level 3 in Childcare or Diploma
  • Experience within a childcare setting, minimum 1 year
  • First aid certificate
  • Safeguarding trained
  • Good level of general education to GCSE level in English and Maths or equivalent
