We have a vacancy for a HR Business Partner, who will support key business areas with approximately 200 employees, both office-based and dispersed workers across two counties (Staffordshire and Shropshire). From day one you will work closely with senior business leads as well as front line Managers to deliver the service.


Business partnering for us means supporting all Managers with the people elements of commercial decision making and legal/risk related advice across all aspects of generalist HR. As well as having a generalist remit this role will be responsible for the HR related projects, policy development/review and the Group’s recruitment activity.


You will be a self starter and have a proactive nature as well as the ability to confidently challenge senior managers, with experience of delivering a professional and collaborative service to the business stream and of managing HR related projects. You will bring extensive HR experience and have enthusiasm to inspire and motivate, as well as experience of coaching others. Further to this you will oversee recruitment activity, delivering a professional recruitment service and create talent management initiatives. Supporting the business managers to assess the potential impact of decisions on their workforce, you will also play a key part in working with business areas on workforce planning. With your experience of working in a busy HR team, you will have project management experience and the ability to deliver projects within a HR team and/or more widely.


It would be advantageous to have previously worked in Housing or a similar environment and have familiarity with the demands on this sector including working in a unionised environment.
