Internal Sales Trainee – Entry Level

With over 30 years’ success, our client is an innovative supplier to the roofing industry. Their sister company is a successful online supplier of high-quality bathroom and kitchen products. 

They are now looking for an Internal Sales Trainee to join their team and learn everything about sales within their industry. 

This role comes complete with comprehensive training, superb future prospects and the chance to become knowledgeable on an entire industry. 

A sales training role is an excellent platform into an industry where the sky is the limit for earnings and you’ll be perfectly positioned to develop and grow into a rewarding and lucrative role. 

As an Internal Sales Trainee, you will be learning about all aspects of our client’s sales process across various areas of the company. 

Specifically, you will learn how to successfully undertake face-to-face sales on a busy trade counter, telephone sales and new business development and trade account sales. You will also learn the sales process for our client’s sister company and the associated procedures. 

As part of your role, you will be required to work one Saturday morning out of three, from 8am – 12pm. 

Once trained, you will: 

- Create sales of roofing supplies and accessories 
- Build business relationships with customers 
- Provide great service to customers right across the business (not just your direct area) 
- Enter orders accurately 
- Check order confirmations 
- Check customers’ credit and account statuses 
- Prepare quotes 

Although no experience is required for this entry level role, to be considered, you will need: 

- To be confident over the telephone and meeting customers face-to-face 
- A strong interest in starting and developing a sales career 
- A good standard of education with a minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grades A*-C 

Eager and enthusiastic, as an Internal Sales Trainee, you’ll be ready to learn, able to communicate effectively and eager to complete your training and start selling. A team player mentality will be key, as will an organised approach.
