Do you have experience managing a small team and now looking for an exciting new challenge?

City of York Council are looking for an exceptional and motivated Project Manager/Team Leader to join our Housing Services team to successfully manage multi million pound capital investment projects, improving the Council's 7,800 houses.

You will lead the team delivering capital investment projects to the council's housing stock. Over the next 5 years, your team will be responsible for delivering GBP40 million improvements to our tenant's homes - and you will make a real difference to the quality of life of our customers.

Key Qualities:
  • Exposure to the project management of construction projects in excess of one million pounds
  • A proven and engaging management style
  • HNC Building qualification or a relevant qualification at Level 3 is desirable
  • Knowledge of procurement
  • Experience on managing contracts
  • Proven to have lead a small team

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing how they deliver these services to our customers.

Salary: GBP30,500 - GBP34,797 + Benefits

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, flexible time available
