Location | Reporting to our Croxteth HQ (L11 2SF), but based in our Hermes Road Depot (L11 0ED)

Closing Date for the 3 apprenticeship roles will be midnight Sunday 17th February 2019.

Cobalt Housing has 3 excellent opportunities for a Joinery/Painting & Decorating/Plastering apprentice to join us.

Cobalt Housing is North Liverpool’s biggest landlord; with over 6000 properties across Croxteth, Norris Green and Fazackerly, and looking to grow! Our trades division, Cobalt Plus, provide a vital service to our stock by continuously maintaining, repairing, and upgrading our properties, with pride and professionalism. 

We are looking for 3 high calibre, committed candidates to join us on a 2-year NVQ Level 2 apprenticeship, facilitated by Liverpool City College. The 3 apprentices will get to work alongside our skilled and experienced team and will be mentored by our Management team, with the potential to retain a full-time position at the end of the award. 

This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to 1 day a week at Liverpool City College (based on Vauxhall Road) and 4 days per week working on site. You will be required to demonstrate, through the standard, that you meet all competencies and behaviours which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. You will have designated mentors in the workplace to support your learning and throughout the programme you will be assessed and further supported via the college. 

You will need:

•                An interest in Building and Construction

•                Good time management skills

•                Ability to work on own initiative

•                Excellent communication skills

•                Ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently

•                Be highly motivated

•                Ability to interact with a wide range of people

Cobalt Plus’ standard working week is 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will enjoy 23 days holiday, plus 3 additional days for Christmas shut down, as well as the option to join the company pension scheme. For More details on Cobalt's benefits, please see our website.
