An industry leader in Packaged Water and Wastewater Solutions across the UK and Ireland is looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their team based in Peterlee in January.
In this role, you will be assisting in the day to day accounting activities of the business.
Main Duties:
* Processing Invoices/Credit Notes
* Payment Runs
* Handling Supplier queries
* Raising Sales Invoices
* Monitoring sales orders
* Keep track of Debtor balances and chasing aged debt
* Monitoring employee attendance
* Ensuring compliance with relevant laws on employment
* Handling queries
* Entering Payments to suppliers/employees
* Logging bank transactions into the Cashbook/Nominal Ledger
* Monitor and control the petty cash with a common-sense approach
* Month End Closedowns
* VAT/Intrastat returns
Essential Requirements:
* Accurate and prompt administration, organisation and planning
* Strong communication skills
* Analytical and understanding numeric data
* Self-Motivation and positive attitude
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
* Professional, reliable and diligent
This is a fixed term contract which is expected to last around 3 months however there is potential for extension.
