About the Role

Reporting directly into the Factory Manager, the role is to lead an integrated team in the delivery of a balanced scorecard in a designated area of the factory. As the Area Manager you will be in charge of your own area, with management responsibility for multiple shifts you will coordinate the resources available to you. In addition, the role will have responsibility for continuously improving performance in the area by engaging team members and promoting best practice, machine reliability and team accountability. The post of the Area Manager is a vital link in the factory management structure, as it plays a key role in ensuring that the factory is as efficient, flexible and competitive as possible. This is a great opportunity to develop your own team and build upon the skills you already have whilst being a key part of the factory management team.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who already has experience of leading a highly engaged, motivated and productive team and has demonstrable results of leading, coaching and developing them to be the best they can. You will be a naturally confident, credible and people-oriented leader, inspiring those around you with your can-do attitude and have excellent communication and influencing skills. Self motivation, personal drive, high standards and being able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously are all qualities that you will have and can use to support and coach your teams.

You will own the training and development of the teams, to enable progression to resource growth or to replace current roles, and to ensure that the necessary skills are in place at all levels. You will create and develop Performance Improvement Plans appropriate to the agreed KPIs, involving and engaging individuals in the activities to show real team ownership. You will support creation of annual business plans and long term strategy plans along with the execution of capital expenditure to support.
