B3Living is the largest independent housing association in the Borough of Broxbourne, providing over 4,600 homes across Hertfordshire and Essex. This is an exciting time to be joining B3Living. Our Board has been reviewing the purpose of our organisation and is currently working to revise and define what we do to make the most impact on the housing crisis locally.
We are currently recruiting for a Housing Manager to lead and develop the lettings and leasehold service to ensure high standards of service delivery to both customers and other stakeholders and to maximise income by reducing void loss whilst ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Within this role, you will ensure our statutory and policy duties are effectively fulfilled including those around allocations, lettings, Right to Buy, acquire and leasehold. You will lead the process of rent setting for affordable rents, be responsible for effective Section 20 consultations, prepare and monitor budgets and liaise with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
We are looking for an individual to act as an ‘expert’ for our housing management system, QLX and a candidate who has experience of writing report using SQL. Providing training to staff and recommending changes to the system to enable improvements in working practices, will also be a key aspect of the role
The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of relevant legislation including Section 20 processes, the Housing Act and allocations. You will have the ability to analyse and interpret data, sound people management and communication skills. In addition you will have previous experience of developing and implementing performance measurement and management tools, reviewing and developing policies and procedures and developing reports using SQL.
