Production Manager Supervisor ( maybe a Skilled Technician looking progression )
Based in Harlow Essex (with good train /bus links )
To supervise the allocation of work to the Medical Equipment Assembly Workshop and the Machine Shop ensuring the efficient production of parts and assemblies within specified time scales and cost standards whilst maintaining quality standards.
The Key Performance Measures include :
Ensure efficient and cost effective utilisation of assembly work force
Ensure adherence to production plan.
Motivate and to increase production efficiency.
To ensure the high quality product is manufactured at all times.

* Capable of showing continuous improvement and initiative.
Daily Function Tasks to include :
Managing, motivating and developing self and others.
Manufacture of ophthalmic products in line with weekly/monthly plans.
Carry out self inspection when required in line with Company requirements.
Ensure all departmental records and administrative routines are carried out correctly and in line with required timings, including all area transactions on the Company's ERP system.
Ensure all ERP inputs are accurate and all works orders are closed with no outstanding issues.
Maintain area raw material stock.
Adherence to the required product and company quality standards.
Ensure all staff perform to the required standard. Control and regulate the performance of all staff ensuring maximum effort and commitment is secured. Ensure performance is monitored and communicated to staff to maximise the output of the section.
Maintain staff training to allow for staff flexibility to cover holiday and sickness.
Carry out staff assessments within the recommended time scales.
Liaise with other Departments or individuals to resolve issues/problems
