IT Support Manager and DPO - Permanent - Weybridge
Our UK client is a highly successful privately-owned group of companies. With a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial estates plus a huge range of leisure interests including health clubs, golf courses and family activity venues.
With the continued expansion of the group coupled with an increasingly diverse range of IT systems and supporting partners we are now looking for an experienced IT Support Manager.
The individual will work closely with all the stakeholders to develop and implement the IT systems strategic plan. In addition, they will need to work with and manage a range of external service providers so to ensure they meet the agreed SLA's as well as help identify improvements to both systems and service.
In addition, the successful individual will be the formal Data Protection Officer for the group. This will entail formal legislative and compliance oversight, continued development of the group Data Protection Policy, as well as ensuring full cyber-security alignment with best practise.
You will report straight into the Group Finance Director.
Key Role Responsibilities
* Ensure the development and implementation of the information systems strategic plan
* Working with outsourced resources, the IT Support Manager will be required to contribute to the development of the IS strategic plan
* To be responsible for the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of information systems
* ensure ongoing improvement in information systems and operating procedures and efficient and secure operation
* To work with outsourced service providers to identify opportunities for improvement and to monitor the timely implementation of development and improvement projects
* To be the liaison and first point of contact with the company of the outsourced IS function
* To act as the formal group Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Requirements and Experience
• An expert understanding of Information Systems and Technology infrastructure
• Understanding of the GDPR and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance
• Experience and a working knowledge of a range of business systems
• Experience of working with multiple teams and external suppliers and to manage priorities
* Ability to set SLA's and manage KPI's of external partners
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain a good relationship with all stakeholders
• Strong analytical ability with diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of user acceptance/business process testing experience
• Previous experience of devising and developing processes and systems
• Able to demonstrate advanced skill with the full range of Microsoft Office applications
