A rapidly growing and highly successful company who deliver a first-class service in venue based catering, engaging in a range of events such as weddings and corporate/private functions. They are looking for an Assistant Events Manager who has a passion for the hospitality industry and in turn be rewarded for your hard work! This is a full time, permanent role offering a starting salary of up to GBP22,000.

The company have the sole caterer rights at most of their venues and entertain mid to high end clientele, therefore 5* customer service is key!

Key Competencies for the Assistant Events Manager:

??Working closely with and supporting the Events Manager, managing weddings and other functions at some of Oxfordshire's finest venues

??Support in delivering the event on time, within budget, that meet and exceed expectations

??Main point of contact and liaison with all parties day-to-day

??Agreeing to, and negotiating pricing in line with pricing structure

??Coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly

??Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships

??Support in coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire

??Producing detailed proposals (e.g. Timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets) within a proposed budget outline

??Carrying out consumer research/market intelligence

??Post-event evaluation and reporting

What skills do I need to be a successful Assistant Events Manager?

??Ideally previous experience within the event industry

??Restaurant/hotel banqueting or catering experience

??Strong administrative skills from working within an office environment

??Passion for the events and catering industry

??Able to deliver 5* customer service at all times

??Able to demonstrate managerial skills from previous experience

??Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in work

??Fast keyboard and good MS Office skills

??Moldable, flexible, keen to progress

??Well-presented and well-spoken

??Driving licence and car is a must!
