Manufacturing / NPI Engineer
East Coast, Scotland
Due to an exciting period of expansion, our client are looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their Engineering Team.
The Role
This role represents a superb opportunity to be a key figure within the Engineering Team producing precision optics for a range of sectors. The successful candidate will use their experience to address any manufacturing needs and will propose new processes and techniques to improve manufacturing methods. They will be a lateral thinker, capable of devising experimental solutions and creating validated prototype samples. Strong communication skills are also necessary to be able to liaise with sales teams and influence client specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc. in Engineering and be able to demonstrate manufacturing experience within optics or high precision manufacturing and will have strong New Product Introduction skills. They will have excellent technical and process engineering experience, and will be able to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously, collaborating across functions to provide integrated solutions. They will have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/DMAIC/Six Sigma and be able to demonstrate how this influences their working methods.
