The RoleAssists with all hot and cold food preparation, including banquets when necessaryDemonstrates basic recipe knowledge for soups, sauces and entreesHelps to organise and maintain work areas, coolers and storage areasPrepares work checklist and organises work stations for each shiftAssists in checking coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food products RequirementsHave a good level of food product knowledge, and an understanding of food preparation techniquesHolds a level 2 Food hygiene certificateHas three months minimum experience working in the kitchenCan use a knife and other kitchen toolsPrevious experience as a Commis Chef in a Four/Five Star Hotel or fine dining restaurant would be an advantage
