Our company is a fast growing well established Scottish company. For over 20 years we have developed a strong position as a supplier of sterilisation and testing of products for the medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. The company operates a quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 17025, GMP and FDA requirements.

Validation Lab assistant will be part of our Technical group.

As the Validation Lab Assistant you will be responsible for;

  • Testing Medical Devices and documenting results for traceability purposes using documented test methods
  • Assisting in data recording and analysing results from internal and commercial validation projects
  • Providing samples to Sterilisation & Microbiology Lab for processing, which would include associated paperwork and relevant follow ups
  • Assisting in administration stages of internal or commercial validation projects
  • Assisting in qualifying new processes and equipment
  • Implement work protocols, to conduct studies that comply with the international standards
  • Support the resolution of corrective actions

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate should;

  • possess analytical skills

  • be willing to learn new procedures and processes
  • be able to follow detailed instructions
  • be highly competent in Microsoft Office & Excel
  • possess good team working skills

Desirable skills

Ideally the candidate would also possess some of the following skills;

  • experience in statistical analysis of data and creation of trends
  • have an appreciation of regulated quality management systems
  • experience in working in the medical device sector or another highly regulated industry
  • a degree in a relative subject (engineering, science, quality) or equivalent practical experience

Location: Strathclyde Business Park, Bellshill, Scotland, UK

Contract type: Permanent (Monday to Friday, 37.5 working hours)
