PRODUCTION PLANNER

Gates (U.K.) Ltd is a major international company specialising in the production of Power Transmission belts for the automotive and industrial markets. Our continuing success has resulted in the following challenging opportunities based in our Dumfries Plant.  We are currently going through a recruitment drive resulting in the following positions :

PRODUCTION PLANNER

• Reporting directly to the Materials Flow Manager the successful candidate will be part of the Local Planning Team which has responsibility for Raw Material and Production Planning for all Site Manufacturing areas. This will include preparation and delivery of Production Manufacturing Schedules which will allow us to meet our KPIs.
• The person will be required to build solid inter-departmental relationships and will also have some direct external contact with Raw Material suppliers.
• The person must have excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to work to strict deadlines.   There will be opportunities for the successful applicant to be exposed to other areas of the business through training, project work and CI involvement

Required Skills:

• The successful candidate should have a sound IT or Planning background ideally with Production experience. A working knowledge of excel, BPCS, MRP and SAP would be an advantage.
