Forklift/Warehouse Operative

MET Recruitment are recruiting for a warehouse operative with a Forklift Counterbalance licence to work for our client based in Wolverhampton.

The duties of the role are:

• Picking of KLTs using production orders
• Checking of KLTs to verify contents are correct
• Shrink wrap and band pallets ready for despatch
• Scan automotive parts to create replenishment requirements
• Complete pre-use check sheets on all MHE used
• Load / unload vehicles with counterbalance forklift truck
• Ensure correct documentation is signed for collections / deliveries
• Store and pick products from pallet racking using reach forklift truck
• Check off deliveries to delivery notes - Label goods for put away and despatch
• Inspect and clean KLT's
• Drive the company vans and also Drive tow truck and change battery as required
• General housekeeping
• Quality checking and repacking/relabelling tasks
• Pick and pack garden furniture spares for despatch using production orders
• Break down garden furniture for spares parts and log
• Handball offload of sea freight containers
• Be able to participate in customer audited health and safety Q&A - training provided
• Alert supervisors of issues and be able to participate in resolving issues safely
• Delivering items in company vehicles as needed

Key skills must needed to be suitable for this role:

• Previous Warehouse experience
• Counter balance licence
• Reach licence
• UK driving license preferable
• Previous use of hand-held scanners
• Goods in experience
• Punctual
• Excellent eye for detail
• Organised
• Knowledge of Health and Safety basics
• Hands on and Physically fit
• Flexible
• Honest and presentable
• Looking for long term employment

The hours of work are:

40 hours per week

Afternoons :Mon - Fri 14.30 till 23.00

Earlies: Mon - Fri 06.00 till 14.30

Pay Rate:

8.22 per hour +8% shift allowance = (GBP8.88 per hour) Rate will be reviewed after 6 months of successful service.
