The job
Your role as Technical Assistant is to support the Technical Manager in maintaining and enhancing quality management standards across all areas of production on a day-to-day basis. You will audit and check production systems and to ensure that the highest technical standards are achieved for all foods produced by the company.
You will gather and prepare microbiological samples, support taste panels, carry out internal audits including GMP, audit production paperwork, carry out equipment and calibration checks, coach and train team members in QA principles plus monitor and audit raw materials escalating any non-conformances.
Your experience
To be considered for the Technical Assistant job, you will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science or technology discipline. You will possess some previous experience working in a food industry technical or QA role, either from a university placement or full-time position. You will be able to demonstrate solid knowledge of basic food hygiene, be familiar with quality management systems plus possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

The Technical Assistant job is based in the South West region and is paying GBP21,000 + 10% bonus. There are two positions available, working hours are 2pm - 11pm, Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.
