McDiarmid Whitmore Ltd are currently working on behalf of a leading facilities management contractor seeking to appoint a Head of Catering to deliver catering services within a healthcare contract.
The role has responsibility for delivering patient feeding and retail catering services within a hospital environment as well as managing the catering team and overall operation. There is a requirement for strong commercial understanding as you would be responsible for financial budgets and targets across the contract.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare plans, budgets and forecasts for catering services within the hospital
* Ensure all staff are trained to the correct standards in regards to food hygiene and health and safety
* Manage the relationship with the Trust and adhere to Trust policies and procedures
* Report on contract performance in line with agreed contract KPI's
* Deliver a first class catering service conducting regular internal audits to assess quality standards
* Respond to customer requirements consistently offering a great service
* Plan training needs for all staff
* Manage the recruitment and induction of new staff
The ideal candidate will have experience of interacting with customers, managing staff and delivering catering services in fast paced environments. They will also need to be qualified in food safety and catering management.
