Junior Buyer - Oil & Gas

Due to company growth, we are looking for a Junior Buyer, ideally who will have some experience or knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry. You will work in a team, creating relationships with existing customers, supporting management by taking incoming calls and dealing with any enquiries or queries. This is a busy and varied role, requiring someone who is looking to grow their career within a procurement environment.
Main Duties:
The buyer will work with business clients, supporting all of their procurement requests, creating and sending out quotes and identifying the best pricing for materials.
* Support the team with purchasing of materials
* Daily processing of quotations on the internal system
* Liaising with suppliers/manufacturers to identify best pricing for materials
* Liaising with team managers to ensure all projects are looked after
* Researching new products and identifying new suppliers
* Handle large pricing exercises for clients
* Placing orders when required
Skills Required:
* Some knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry
* Excellent communication skills and confident manner
* Good IT skills, particularly Excel and databases
* Customer service background, comfortable in a sales environment - NO SALES INVOLVED IN THIS ROLE
* Works well under pressure
* Attention to detail and organisational skills
Hours of Work
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm
