Apprenticeships Officer X 2 – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

£25,757 to £30,346 per annum + benefits

Mobile – Newcastle and Northumberland

Ref: 013/19

As an Apprenticeships Officer, you will undertake the daily activities associated with the delivery of Apprenticeship programmes. These will include close liaison with colleges, companies, parents and apprentices, carrying out pre-employment H&S checks and apprentice progress reviews.

This is a highly independent role and requires mobile working. You will have the responsibility of monitoring the progress of apprentices towards their qualifications, attending colleges and sites to undertake progress reviews and H&S monitoring. The role requires extensive travel around Newcastle, Northumberland and surrounding areas so flexibility is a pre-requisite.

You will be well organised, highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative – and as part of a team – and have outstanding communication, IT and administration skills along with adaptability, effective time management and the ability to work to targets.  We offer excellent training and prospects, as well as an attractive salary and benefits package including a DC pension scheme. We are an equal opportunities employer and make all of our appointments on merit.

An understanding of the work-based learning education sector or construction industry is desirable in this challenging role but not essential.  A flexible approach to working hours will be necessary.

CITB is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check.

Successful applicants will need to act at all times consistently with CITBs values and behaviours as outlined on the role profile.
