MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEER
I am working in parnership with a fantastic company in the Peterborough area who require an enthusiastic multi-skilled engineer to join their manufacturing maintenance team on a three shift rota basis.
You will be working closely with the production team to ensure machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid product disruption.
Rotating shift pattern with reasonable overtime.
Key skills:
You will need to be multi-skilled with an electrical bias.
Be able to fault find on single and three phase systems, servo motors, AC motors, sensors and various control systems.
Electrical installation, typically lighting and small power.
Be able to work on train drive systems, rollers, gear boxes, shafts, pneumatics and hydraulics.
Be able to to strip machine assemblies to componant level and rebuild.
Be able to work off own initiative.
Responsibilities:
Support and identify means of improving plant productivity.
Investigate and establish all causes of breakdowns and machinery speed losses.
Action and necessary repairs and record faults.
Be involved in both electrical and mechanical reactive and pro-active maintenance,
Ensure proper health and safety.
Education preferred but not essential. Time served apprentice. NVQ level 3 or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, Btec level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering, 17th edition regulations
