Position: Support Coordinator - Communication Support

Location: Basingstoke - Office Based
Job type: Fixed Term Maternity Cover until March 2020
Hours: 28 hours per week
Salary: circa GBP18,400 per annum

Reporting to the Stroke Support Manager the Support Coordinator will deliver support to stroke survivors and carers living with the effects of stroke and communication difficulties. The Support Coordinator will assess the needs of stroke survivors and communication partners and create client-centred intervention plans, creating opportunities to develop communication strategies and rebuild confidence to support people to achieve their desired outcomes. You will be working in the community, facilitating small groups of communication support.

You'll ideally have knowledge and experience of stroke or disability, experience of recruiting and managing a team of volunteers would also be highly beneficial. You'll have a proven track record of excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You'll have excellent demonstrable IT skills and a strong understanding of how to use data to improve quality.

The use of a car with business use cover and the ability to drive is essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role.
