Trailer Freight Exports Clerk

Our client is an established leading provider of Global freight forwarding transport solutions Specialising in servicing Central and Eastern Europe along with Russia and Central Asia they operate their own scheduled services.

We are now looking for an ambitious individual to join our client at their Leeds office as a Trailer Freight Forwarder.

The role requires an individual who has previous European Road freight Groupage operations experience and is looking to join a company that can provide an environment to support and develop their career.

You must be able to demonstrate an ability to build professional relationships with a range of hauliers, understand the commercial implications of maximising loads and ensure that all goods are shipped with maximum efficiency and profitability whilst ensuring that the customers' requirements are met and continually maintaining operational standards. The role will require the candidate to perform the job from the quoting through to delivery, including the loading of the files on to the operational system accurately and within a timely manner with all the required information.

Customer care is an essential part of the role and a high standard of professionalism is required at all times. Accuracy and attention to detail is a necessity with the candidate having a good standard of both written and spoken English.

You will also have the ability to identify commercial opportunities for the company and to liaise with the Sales team/Branch Manager to develop these opportunities as well as build on their own portfolio of customers.

The individual should be highly organised with good communication skills and have a systematic approach to their work. They should be pro-active in constantly looking at ways to improve the services and systems that are in place.

Eastern/Central European language is an advantage.
This is a Monday to Friday role 09:00-17:00 however flexibility is required during busy periods
