Salary £23,501 - £27,708 pa on an incremental scale plus an attractive benefits package
Trinity College, founded by Henry VIII in 1546, is the largest and most impressive of the Cambridge colleges. Staff can enjoy working in beautiful surroundings and within magnificent buildings which include the Great Court and Nevile’s Court. The College has some 700 undergraduate students, 350 post graduate students, approximately 190 Fellows and 350 staff.
The Senior Bursar’s office, which mainly looks after the College’s investments and Trust Funds, is seeking to appoint an Administrator. The office also provides support to the Secretary of the College Council.
The successful candidate will assist with a wide variety of administrative and secretarial duties including, managing a busy email box, handling all routine correspondence, co-ordinating travel arrangements, maintaining paper and paperless filing systems as well being responsible for aspects of the administration of Committee papers.
As the first point of contact in the office you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and experience of working in a busy office environment. You should also have excellent keyboard skills and able to use all Microsoft Office programs. The successful candidate will be experienced in dealing with a wide variety of people and issues with tact and discretion. If you are highly organised, confident and able to work without detailed supervision this would be the ideal role for you.
