Our client, a not-for-profit organisation, are looking for a Project administrator to join their team to ensure the smooth running of a very broad range of projects.This is a on-going temporary role.

They are focused on building knowledge and understanding of their cause by:

* Gathering and analysing existing research, policies, practices and the real experiences of those affected, and filling the gaps identified with new research, insights and analysis;

* Using the evidence and insight gained to challenge and improve existing policies and practices, develop new approaches and increase everyone's awareness and confidence to more effectively tackle the issue

The main purpose of this role is to be part of a proactive and busy support team, assisting in the development and management of key functions of the team including procurement, contract, and risk management as well as financial processes. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, advice and guidance in the role to help ensure the smooth running of the operations.

Main Responsibilities

* Managing the company's programme and project management systems

* Supporting procurement and tendering exercises

* Managing the company's contracts register

* Maintaining the company's risk register

* Assisting with financial processes

* Drafting management information reports

Activities within the role include:

* Assisting the senior management team with planning programmes and projects;

* Liaising closely with the director, deputy directors and assistant director, collating information to monitor the progress of projects;

* Drafting project reports for the perusal of the senior management team, highlighting areas on track, delays, and areas that require attention;

* Providing advice and guidance on project management techniques;

* Liaising with the senior management team to record, assess and rate risks on a regular basis;

* Maintaining the contracts register to help ensure all agreements with external suppliers are managed;

* In liaison with the company's legal counsel, assisting the director and deputy directors with generating and processing contracts, including initiating extensions and variations;

* Reading through generated contracts, highlighting areas that require attention and actioning appropriately;

* Liaising with external suppliers with regards to payments and invoicing and working closely with the finance team to help ensure financial processes run smoothly, analysing and reporting on financial positions as necessary;

* Deputising for the assistant director at various meetings when required;

* Working closely with other team members and other colleagues to help with the smooth running of the company's support services

The successful candidate:

* Ideally experience working for a not-for-profit organisation carrying out a similar role

* A good working knowledge of MS Excel
