What will I do?
* Learn to drive a bus! Don't worry, we'll help you every step of the way (see below).
* Operate the company's network of local bus services, providing essential transport throughout our operating area.
* Engage with our customers, making sure they enjoy a safe, pleasant and comfortable journey.
* Safe driving at all times and to the required company standard.
* Issue a wide range of tickets and collect fares (contactless, Android and ApplePay).
What's the training process?
When you join us, we will pay you from day one whilst you learn to pass your PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) test and obtain your Category D licence entitlement. The cost of your training is also fully funded by us, and includes:
* Tuition to pass modules 2, 3 and 4 of the PCV Driving Test;
* Vehicle and route familiarisation;
* Ticket machine and ticket type training; and
* Introduction to company systems, procedures and policies.
Once you have passed all the formal training elements you will work with an experienced colleague who will support you in your early days as you settle into your new role
