My client is an award-winning practice with offices in both Scotland and North East England. They are specialist property experienced and act for thousands of private and commercial clients. They are seeking to appoint an experienced lawyer to join their conveyancing team.
The role will involve but not limited too;
* To provide advice to clients on offers received for their properties and take their instructions
* To provide advice to clients in relation to what to offer for properties they wish to purchase and taking instruction
* To guide clients through the sale and purchase process and make the process as straightforward as possible
* To examine title deeds and report back to clients/ lenders on any issues
* To act on behalf of lenders in relation to standard securities
* Drafting Legal Documents
* Manage own workload and time management
* Oversee conveyancing Paralegals
* Mentoring Trainee Solicitors and junior members of staff
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
* Diploma in Legal Practice
* Bachelor of Laws - LL.B Scots Law
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
* Minimum 5+ Years PQE
* Ambition and drive to build on the success of the branch
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Good time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work to deadlines and to prioritise workload
* Ability to work on own initiative
The Candidate;
You will have previous experience of residential conveyancing and will have a working knowledge of the local area, you will also can communicate with clients and offer guidance where required. You will be a strong team player and have business acumen with the ability to adapt to the business needs.
