Based at the Hull, Queens Gardens site

Salary - £22,669 per annum

12 month FTC

Hull College Group is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.

We are now looking to appoint a Quality Officer to join our HE Quality and Registry department.  Within this role, you will act as minute secretary to the HE Academic Board and designated sub-committees and will contribute to a wide range of developmental projects and working groups.

As a member of a small professional team, you will work closely with senior officers and managers on the development of its quality assurance processes with specific operational responsibility for co-ordinating the annual validation and review schedule and act as Panel Secretary to these events.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have recent and relevant knowledge of HE quality assurance processes including the requirements of the Quality Assurance Agency’s Quality Code for the assurance of academic quality and standards in higher education.

With experience of working with external bodies to plan and organise validation events & processes, it is also essential that you have experience of Committee servicing preferably within higher education such as Academic Board, Student Engagement Committees and acting as secretary to validation and review panels.

Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write minutes and reports accurately interpreting complex discussion and to short deadlines is also important and you should be familiar with providing a wide range of guidance to professional groups and internal and external stakeholders.
