Housing Allocations Officer
Fixed Term Contract to Mid-October 2019 - Start date as soon as possible
GBP24,084 to GBP25,636 (inclusive of London Fringe Weighting)

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, to liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient and prompt advertising and allocation of empty properties.
The role includes working with a variety of households and client groups, some of whom may be vulnerable, providing information and guidance to support them to make informed decisions on their choice for housing. The successful candidate will deal with all allocation related enquiries on individual cases, face-to-face, over the telephone or replying to correspondence from applicants, MP's, Councillors or other agencies.
You will be responsible for preparing and verifying the weekly listing of properties to be advertised on our web-based system. You will need to be accurate in checking and reviewing data from different sources and systems, ensuring that information correlates prior to an allocation.
A check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate for the above post has no relevant convictions.
