To inspire each of our young people to flourish as an individual, to be curious, to be resilient and to love learning. We aspire for them to grow into articulate, independent future citizens and to become the leaders of tomorrow.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Crossley Heath as part of the pastoral and well-being team. This is a new post which will ensure co-ordination of student and staff medical needs, prompt and effective First Aid provision and early intervention for student mental-health and well-being.
Other duties will involve administration connected to the healthcare of students, coordination of staff training to support healthcare needs, leading assembly sessions and group workshops in relation to good mental health and wellbeing.
A current First Aid and Healthcare qualification together with previous experience of working in a healthcare or mental health/well-being role is essential. Further training to support the needs of the post will be provided. The successful candidate will be willing to support students’ good mental health and well-being through assemblies, our tutor programme and group workshops, as well as on an individual basis. Training and support for running sessions with students will be provided.
A warm, approachable personality is essential for this role and the successful candidate must have a high degree of integrity, professionalism and be able to cope calmly and efficiently with any eventualities. You will need to be flexible in approach, proactive and work on your own initiative whilst being part of a wider team.
